How to annotate Google Slides

In this post, we’re going to look at the pen tool in Google Slides, which allows us to annotate them while we are presenting them.

Annotate Google Slides

From Google Slides, open the slideshow.

Hover over the bottom left corner and a little menu will appear.

Click on the 3-dot menu and select “Turn on the pen”. Alternatively, you can just press Shift+L to open it.

Annotate your slide with the pen.

Change the pen colour

You can also change the colour or turn the pen off.

Erase your annotations

You can remove all your annotations on the slide, by clicking on the eraser icon and selecting “Erase all”. Or you can use the keyboard shortcut Shift+A.

If you navigate to other slides, your annotations will remain on the slide while you are presenting them.
